About me ...

I am a Los Angeles-based photographer who enjoys skiing nearby in the winters and Newport Beach during the summers.

Macro photography has become a new fascination for me, and I wish to share the amazing discoveries of beauty hidden all around us in plain sight.

I attended the University of Texas at Austin's film program, and discovered cinematography.  My love of light and making it integral to my images really began there.

Because motion picture filmstock was so costly, I turned to B&W film still photography and darkrooming to study how film behaves.  One of my mentors (in book form!) was Ansel Adams ... especially his book "The Negative".

Although B&W photography started as my cinematography classroom, in time it became a love of mine in its own right.
